Hooray, Iowa!!!!

I could not be happier that Obama came out the winner in last night's caucus.

Here's what I love about him: He did not have a burning desire to become President. He hasn't spent his entire career with his eye on that prize. He repeatedly said that he had no desire to run for President; he gave in only when he could no longer drown out the calls for him to run. Why does that fill me with hope? Because unlike the other candidates who HAVE worked toward the Presidency all or most of their careers, for him it's not about EGO. He has no ego. And if he did, his wife would knock it right out of him; she laughs at his new-found celebrity and she's referred to him, on the record, as "snore-y and stinky." How refreshing is THAT? I believe that he says what he means and means what he says. His attitude is "Here is who I am, all of it, good and bad, take it or leave it." He's not going to compromise his beliefs just to win the Presidency. When have we EVER had a candidate like that?

Well, how wonderful, that you are open minded about who to vote for. Atta girl. I'm very proud of you. I'm waiting around for Huckabee. I don't see how little ol' Rhode Island will make a big difference nationally. Are the rest of the states going to go along with what those 2 states think????????? That's scary !

I know, pretty exciting!

Mom, I was never a die-hard Hillary fan. I love that she stands a real chance to be the first woman in the White House and I admire that she was working toward health-care reform waaaay before the rest of us realized how completely messed up the system is...but I DON'T like that she seems willing to say (and do) whatever it takes to get elected. She's just not as authentic and believable as Obama.

But I'd take her over another Republican ANY DAY.

So have you considered Obama's staff including Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson? They do worm their way into any situation that will get them some publicity.

Now, are they REALLY part of his staff, or merely supporters? He can't control who supports him, and there's NO WAY he's dumb enough to let Al Sharpton be on his payroll.

Let's hope. South Carolina will support him too, I'm very sure.
