I just found this little blog by a young woman who adopted an orphaned coyote. She says "I don't want to own him, I just want us to live together in harmony."
I'm moving to Wyoming.

Thanks a bunch for that blog site. I LOVE the pictures, the stories, and that baby is so precious ! Those beautiful BLUE eyes ! What a sweetheart.

Before you adopt a coyote, read Don Coyote - apparently they make lousy pets. They are way to independent. They refuse to be trained or loved. But the story of Don Coyote is a great read anyway. Loving coyotes the way I do, I really enjoyed the book. But I'd never try to raise one.
