and it hurt like a mother. I went first, and I'm so glad I did. Because if I'd watched the process beforehand, there's no way I would have gone through with it. It involved a hollow-point needle which was left dangling out of my right nostril for 10 years er seconds. And THEN he rammed the stud through. WOW was that fun.

But I like it and I think it's cute. And it was fun to do with my sisters; the three of us almost couldn't be more different...but we love and respect each other and this was a bonding experience. And when I'm through my mid-life crisis (if ever) I can take it out.

Actually, I think it looked a lot worse than it actually hurt. I actually love mine!
That is something you will always remember. I don't have the guts..So is it true..the back part doesn't have boogers stuck around it?
Well Mary Pat, it FEELS like you've got a big ol' boog in there; the guy warned us about that and said it would take some getting used to. But there's no "back"; it's just kind of a very tiny L-shape.
Believe it or not, I love it too. I'm proud of you girls doing it and I LOVE the pics. !!!!!!! The ones of you three girls together, head shot and full shot, are adorable. My girls !
This is the COOLEST thing EVER.
You all look fabulous!!
Mary Pat? That's not the mary pat that fly fishes is it? Is she from boise???
Congratulations, you're a brave woman! I love the look of nose rings, but I try to avoid pain whenever possible ;) I was in India in my twenties and a friend and I went to a little shop to get a nose ring. My friend went first and after seeing the guy wrestle her nostril and put what looked like a nail through it, I quickly changed my mind. Her piercing ended up becoming infected and she had to take the stud out. I felt bad for her, but I was glad I had chickened out!
